I’m Gillivan Pestridge, and if I’m being real with you, I didn’t step into this space with everything figured out. I came in with passion, grit, and a strong sense that I had something valuable to offer — even if I wasn’t sure how to package it, market it, or grow it into a solid brand. Like many freelancers and digital builders, I started by saying yes to every opportunity I could. I took on projects, learned on the fly, and did the work with everything I had — but there came a point when I realized I was always working in the business, never on it. I knew I wanted to grow. I had the drive, I had the talent, but I didn’t have the strategy or clarity to scale. That realization led me straight to Writing Empires and from the first conversation, I knew I was in the right place. At first, I hesitated. Like a lot of self-starters, I’ve always believed in figuring things out on my own. But I also knew I was hitting a ceiling. I was putting in the hours, staying consistent where I could, and yet… the results didn’t match the effort. I was tired of recycling content ideas that didn’t convert.
